Creating a Worship Service

By the end of this article, you should know:

• How to create a Worship Service for your church using the Gotedo Vineyard software.

Pre-requisites for Creating a Worship Service

Before you can create a worship service using the Gotedo Vineyard software, the following conditions must be satisfied:

1. You have created service types either via the Stage One of the Onboarding and Data Migration Module or individually via the Service Type creation form.
2. All created service types have been assigned their start time and end times. To verify this, please perform these steps:
   • On the left sidebar, within the Other Tools section, open the Church Settings menu and click on Church Templates.
   • On the All Church Templates page, find and click on View/Edit within the card for Service Types.
   • On the All Service Types table, click the name of any existing service type to open the Edit Service Type form.
   • Ensure the two fields Service Start Time and Service End Time are filled.
   • Click the Submit button to save.

   Tip

   You will get an error if you try to create a worship service for a service type without either start time or end time or both.

3. You have created service activities templates. The use of service activities templates for creating a service is only required if you want to create service activities schedules.

Creating a Worship Service

To create a Worship Service kindly follow the steps below:

1. On the left sidebar, under the Church Administration section, open the Services menu, then click on New Worship Service. The Worship Services Mass Creation Form will be displayed. The form contains the following fields for the creation of the Worship Service:
   • Service Type: This field contains a dropdown menu of the Service Types you must have already created.
   • Service Activites Templates: This field will contain the templates created for each service types. This field is optional.
   • Service Dates: You are required to select the dates for the service you are creating. The calendar is already programmed to only feature the days peculiar to the service type selected. This means that if your Service Type is Sunday Morning Service, on the Service Date field, only Sundays will be highlighted.

     

2. After the fields are filled, click on the Submit button to submit the service. The newly created Worship Service will be displayed on the Worship Services page, alongside other worship services.

Another way of accessing the Worship Service Mass Creation Form is through theCreate Mass Services (+) on the taskbar of the Worship Services page labelled 1 on Figure 2 below.

To use this method of Creating a Worship Service, follow the steps below:

1. On the left sidebar, under the Church Administration section, open the Services menu, then click on All Services. The page titled Worship Services will be displayed.
2. On the Worship Services page, locate the Create Mass Services button (+) on the taskbar labelled 1 on Figure 2 above and click on it.
3. The Worship Services Mass Creation Form will be displayed, as seen with the first method above.
